When you are in business for over 60 years it is safe to say you make some good relationships. Every manufacturer makes relationships. Relationships end. Poor customer service, quality issues, and many other factors can end a relationship. At Schantz Mfg. we are in the business of making PARTNERSHIPS. When you partner with us you can rest assured that you will always receive the best quality and service in the industry.
To prove that point, we have had the great privilege of working with 4 generations of the McKinney family. Roger Westmoreland recalled, "In 1972 my Granddaddy, DJ Mckinney bought a Schantz trailer. In a couple of years my Mom bought one, my Daddy bought one....I graduated in 1975 and in 1978 I bought my first Schantz Trailer. At one time my Daddy was running 28 concession trailers. I’m 3rd generation and I’ve got boys that are fourth generation in the business."
The latest trailer build is for Jeff McKinney and he echoed the family sentiment about Schantz, "This is actually my first NEW trailer, I had a used Schantz before. I'm just tickled, its everything that I thought it would be. The quality, the features, the retractable wheels; its all top of the line, and their team is excellent to work with" Combined, their families have purchased over 80 Schantz trailers, over 40 years. It is impossible to have this kind of partnership without providing an impeccable product and great value. Jeremy Westmoreland (4th Generation) stated, "After 4 generations we are still with Schantz. I don’t think there is another trailer on the market that looks as good as a Schantz trailer, that’s my opinion and that’s my family’s opinion, and we have probably 80 of them on the road. We have a big family and we’ve all gone with Schantz. It’s not because the competitors haven’t contacted us and made offers, they all have, but we keep coming back to Schantz. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it."
When asked about why the family has partnered with Schantz for all of these years, Roger noted quality as one of the key factors, "The Schantz trailer holds up longer, I think if you compare trailers at 4 or 5 years the Schantz typically holds up better. The floors, the cabinets, the counter tops all hold up better than the competitors in my experience. The quality of a Schantz is where they truly stand out from the competitors. That is important, these aren’t throw away trailers, you don’t make money in them just the first year, they need to hold up and that is why we use Schantz trailers. I’ve still got my 1978 model."
40 years later, over 80 trailers...numbers that speak for themselves. Give us a call and start your 4 generation PARTNERSHIP today! 618-654-1523.
